I was exposed to the world of outdoor adventure early on. My father was a SCUBA diving instructor, influential underground cave explorer, big-game hunter, and most importantly for me, a commercial hot air balloon pilot promoting various brands while flying in balloon festivals around the world, including several years as an ambassador for our home state of Wyoming. 

 

When other teens my age were spending their summers working, on family vacations, or simply hanging out with friends, I was traveling the world, learning how to fly hot air balloons, meeting amazing new people, and discovering things about myself that inspired a lifelong passion for adventure tourism and the people that I'd meet along the way.

It's been a few years since then, and somehow I have managed to accumulate a rather peculiar resume including time as a US Army paratrooper, Montana fly fishing guide, Caribbean dive resort manager, balloon ride business operator, and digital marketing consultant. I even spent nearly a decade with Orvis International Travel leading a team of adventure tourism professionals, creating amazing trips, and making some wonderful memories along the way.

 

In virtually every role I found myself leading the organizations' digital marketing efforts to grow the business, so it's no wonder that I started Big World Made Small Adventure Travel Marketing so I can do the same for others.

I am now living a fully remote lifestyle and have lived in and visited over thirty countries on six continents, and still counting.

 

I am also honored to be hosting the Big World Made Small Podcast, where I get to interview tour operators, guides, and adventure travel experts, helping them share their fascinating stories with the world.
